Fine Art

This page showcases some of my endeavors in the arts.

Paintings:
Martin Street 1920 - acrylic on canvas 3ft x 8ft

This painting was created on the request of the principal of Martin Street Public School. He wanted a painting of the school depicted as it was originally built in 1920. The school had since had many extensions and modifications to its original structure including the removal of its original domed atrium.

Subsequent to its completion the painting was awarded the Milton Heritage Award for Arts in 2009. It now hangs in the schools main foyer.

Musical Instruments:
Acoustic Guitars

Guitars have always been a fascination for me and since I was never very good at playing them I decided to build them instead. These instruments were constructed completely by hand and all parts cut from raw lumber. They utilize the finest in exotic woods such as sitka spruce, ebony and rosewood and are inlaid with hand cut abalone shell. Each guitar embodies about a hundred hours of painstaking work. These instruments have been played and enjoyed by Juno Award winning musicians.
